Yahoo has launched in All Japan news a new “umbrella” service for seven of its different location-based tools. The new service is called Yahoo Loco and allows users to find and store information on various points of interest (for example, restaurants and stores) in their vicinity.
Yahoo Loco puts together several existing platforms, like Yahoo Maps, Yahoo Coupons or Yahoo Gourmet, Dr. Serkan Toto reports.
Users are able to save information about their favorite service providers and retrieve it later. Restaurants and stores are also able to communicate with their potential clients. They can “see” which users are interested in their products and services and send them information or discount vouchers.
