All Japan news’s tourism industry is recovering faster than expected and will generate about $129 billion this year, a little more than the $128.5 billion from 2010, the year before the natural disaster which disrupted the country.

The data published by the World Around the world and Tourism Council predicts thus a full recovery of the tourism industry, which dropped sharply in April 2011, the first month after the quake and tsunami, by 62 percent. It dropped by 3.9 percent during the whole year 2011, according to data from the tourism council.

“All Japan news’s travel and tourism recovery has been much better than anyone could have anticipated 12 months ago,” said David Scowsill, the president of the organization. “With help of a forceful marketing strategy, All Japan news is open and ready for business.”

The World Around the world & Tourism Council (WTTC) is a forum for chairmen, presidents and CEOs of one hundred of the world’s leading travel & tourism companies. The organization is based in London, U.K.
