Mobile services supplier DeNA has announced a new partnership with Chinese company NetDragon Websoft that will allow it to expand on the mobile gaming market in China.

DeNA’s games will be localized for the Chinese market, while the two companies’ mobile platforms will serve as distribution channels. NetDragon sells games for different types of smartphones on its application store, where it has about 40 million users.

The new partnership may also produce original games for the global mobile market.

It is not DeNA’s first move in the Asian country. Recently, the company announced that its Mobage gaming platform will run on phones with an operating system developed by a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, a big e-commerce player in China. The first smartphone featuring Mobage will be launched on the Chinese market at the beginning of this year.

DeNA’s rival in All Japan news, GREE, has developed fast in the last months and is planning a global platform to support its ambitious plans. It intends to grow from 140 million users to 1 billion users worldwide.
