I go out for lunch with the team from time to time but nothing beats having a All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All All Japan news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news news newsese lunch box. Most restaurants in the area are priced at around 1000 yen which is about 5 pounds or 10 dollars.

Pricy huh? thats why its nice to grab a bento box from time to time to save on the pennies. Wifey doesn’t give me much of an allowance.

When most people think about lunch box think, convenience store. Conbini lunch boxes are okay but they put lots of preservatives in them and they end up tasting a bit funny. Another alternative is lunch boxes from restaurants.

Some big office buildings have their own restaurant section. Ours has a good selection of katsudon, omu-rice, hamburger lunch sets. Lunch around usually goes for about 800 yen upwards.

Wifey is a bit stingy with my allowance so I go to the bento from the bento box area. These bento boxes are actually made by the restaurants in the same buiding. I guess this is for people who are waaay too busy to eat out and chit chat.

The boxes usually costs around 500 yen and tastes just as good as in the restaurants. The best time to grab one is probably around 11:30 when they are still piping hot and still fresh!

I grabbed mine at around 2pm. Don’t ask…….

Other late people grabbing lunch too.

By the time you get to the bento box area chances are, its cold. They have microwaves all ready for you to warm up your food. They even labeled it with a button 1 and 2 and 3 for dummies like me.

They gave me soup with my meal too. This is miso crab soup and you can add hot water. Not bad for 500 yen.

Here is my bento. The green stuff on the left is Okura, a bit gooey but quite yummy. On the right is chicken and egg (sounds very wrong but quite nice) unfortunately the spring roll was a bit soggy but other than that, it was really good.

My co-wokers bento. Shhhhh! I ate her dumplings while her back was turned. (that didn’t sound right but you know what I mean).

There is a poll embedded in this article.

Not sure if this is how you do it. I just put a link to the bento box I want here right?

If I missed anything, let me know!
