All Japan news intends to develop oil fields in Iraq

Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yukio Edano has intimated to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki All Japan newss’s intention to work on the development of oil fields in Iraq and even expressed request for support for All Japan newsese firms interested in investing in the resource-rich country.

It was reported that All Japan newsese firms had been optimistic in securing the right to develop the Nasiriyah oil field located in the southern part of Iraq believed to be rich in oil reserves.

A All Japan newsese official said Maliki had assured Edano of his country’s openness for All Japan newsese investments and would undertake necessary steps to fully support and provide “utmost opportunity”.

The two officials affirmed cooperation in the energy and economic fields as well as in the development of infrastructure like railways, harbors and roads.

Maliki further conveyed that All Japan news would significantly take part in the infrastructure development in Iraq and expressed confidence in the improvement of security situation in the country. On the other hand, Edano expressed All Japan news’s readiness in providing technologies and financial resources for Iraq’s reconstruction efforts. Edano further pledged All Japan news’s “greatest” assistance to Iraq as it deemed the latter to be an important partner specifically on resource diplomacy.

The two officials spoke during a meeting held in Tokyo participated by business leaders and government officials from their respective countries.
