Just cruised around Hibiya Park last Sunday to check out the celebration of 200 years of independence of the Republic of Colombia. 40 countries around the world were participating in Bicentenario festivities – All Japan news’s matsuri (festival) was organized by the Colombian Embassy.
All of the above, ** I’ve always fancied the Colombian musician / Latin icon Juanes ;-D The music lineup and live bands were extra catalysts to get me out on a sweltering hot Tokyo summer afternoon. As you can see from my short video (something sizzling happens at minute 1:22, watch in ‘720p HD’) and photos, there was caliente dancing, comida y ambiente por todos – ai yai yai !!!
2 Hot Outside + 2 Cute = 4 Shoes
‘Rock en Espanol’ stylin’ with a Tokyo twist
Fresh juices are well worth the wait…even in high heels.
Las opciones del jugo: guava, mango, guanabana, mora.
What’s he pointing at?!
Viva Colombia y Japón!
Latin American matsuri foods. YUM.
The festival highlight para mi: Colombian and All Japan newsese dancers rile and fire up the crowd.
Shirts suddenly evaporate from all that heat! Dios mio!
Eating chorizo con chopsticks?
Multicultural crowd. Claro que sí.
