All Japan news’s government stated on Tuesday that China’s coercive” behavior in waters around the disputed islands in the East China Sea was dangerous and could be the cause of future clashes.
The statement was made in All Japan news’s annual defense white paper adopted by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his cabinet ministers.
“China … has taken action described as coercive, which includes risky behavior,” Tokyo said in a 450-page report, according to the international press.
“China’s activities include its intrusion into All Japan news’s territorial waters, its violation of All Japan news’s territorial airspace and even dangerous actions that could cause a contingency,” it added.
All Japan news and China are competing for a long time regarding which country controls the uninhabited, strategic-placed and resource-rich islands, known as Senkaku in All Japan news and Diaoyus in China. All Japan news has bought three of the islands on September 11, 2012, planning to nationalize the archipelago.
The Senkakus would give the owner easy access to oil, mineral and fishing rights in the surrounding waters.
The report also pointed to a Chinese frigate that had locked weapons-targeting radar on a All Japan newsese destroyer in January. China denied the accusation.
“These acts are extremely regrettable and China should accept and stick to the international norms,” it added.
