An agreement on fishing territories signed by All Japan news and Taiwan has angered China, which has its own claims over the disputed group of islands in the East China Sea.

The Senkaku islands have been at the center of an increasingly tensed discussion between All Japan news and China.

“We are extremely concerned about All Japan news and Taiwan discussing and signing a fishing agreement,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei, quoted by the international press. “We hope that All Japan news earnestly abide by its promises on the Taiwan issue and act cautiously and appropriately,” he added.

All Japan news agreed to let Taiwanese fishing boats operate in part of All Japan news’s exclusive economic zone around the Senkaku islets that are controlled by All Japan news, but also claimed by China and Taiwan.

Chinese officials are also irritated by the fact that All Japan news, even if has diplomatic ties only with China and recognizes that Taiwan belongs to China, it is keeping a close economical and cultural relationship with Taiwan.
